    Hi Trina Congrats!

Your dress is gorgeous. I hope you dont mind me asking but i was wondering how much it cost? I've not come across that designer before and they do a dress very similar to the maggie sottero one i have my eye on! If its cheaper i may be swayed towards that!
    Thanks

    hi picklepick

i hadnt really heard of them either until recently, ellis seems to be one of those designers which isnt as mainstream if you like as alfred angelo etc but they seem to be quite reasonably priced.
I managed to find mine on ebay, a cancelled wedding, unworn, brand new which cost me £315 (terrible for the person I bought it from, but great for me). But full price from shops they seem to average about £700-800 depending on the dress itself. Definitely worth giving shops that stock it a call and see how much they quote. :) or good old ebay!

    lo all

    <-- dear esteemed OH.

yeah, 3 years is a long way to go but no panics - plenty time to plan n everything - its a gradual process of gettin it all booked n payed for so no rushes i think and we'll be fine.

i agree with the not spending cash too early - id rather wait and get the right thing other than frittering pennies away - guess id spend more more than we "need" to, but fortunate to be in a position to be able to afford that.. although ask trina and she'll probs say im a bit of a scrooge, lol.

well.. will pop in from time to time and add to the thread :)

btw, got my kilt and so on so no major expenses for me - maybe new socks, waistcoat / ghilly shirt or something.
