Natwest step account!!!!

Hi everyone, please could you inform me if the Natwest Step account do a credit search on you? Would this be classed as one of their BAsic bank accounts?

Only search done for a Step account is for ID and fraud purposes, not a full credit search. Adverse credit is fine.
It is a 'basic' bank account but comes with a solo debit card and allows direct debits/standing orders etc.
Also the option to add on advantage blue at £6.95 per month but make sure you will USE the benefits first.

why have i been charged for altering my payment date by finance company . i asked them to change date as my money being deposited into my a/c was being deposited at a later date than previous months

A bankruptcy search is made as part of the application process.

Serious adverse credit would result in this account being refused, a credit check does take place.

This is nothing to do with your bank account and everything to do with the finance company.

You took out a loan agreement with a contractual payment date. You have asked to vary the terms of that contract and they have said that there's a charge for the time and effort you have put them to.

To avoid the charge, don't vary the date.
