Black/brown flies on tomato plants.

Hello :D

All 3 of my tomato plants have got black/brown flies on the, like green fly. I read yesterday that I can spray them with a diluted soap mix. I can't remember the quantities or type I can use.

Do I just use a tiny squirt of washing up liquid with plenty of water? Also do I spray the tops of the leaves? The flies seem to be on the underneath  They have started to grow buds will it matter?

Thankyou :T

    Spray where the flies are.

The aim is to suffocate them.

Also go and buy some marigolds and plant them near by to attract hoverfly.

once a week 0,5 l of skimmed milk in 5 l of water keeps all flies from tomatos away and plants stay heathy
  • I also have tiny flies on my tomato plants. I have mixed skim milk with water and sprayed. Now I am waiting to see if it works.:o
