has anyone had the child trust fund top up of £250 if you are on low income? is tax credits the ones dealing with this.

The child trust fund voucher you recieve is regardless of income as far as I am aware. You will be sent this about 1-2 months after baby is born. I also think it comes straight from inland revenue nothing to do with tax credits. Hope this helps.:smileyhea:heart: Mrs Lea Nov 5th '11

the extra top up, which kal25 doesnt seem to be aware of, will be put into the account once the end of tax year, final tax credit assessment is sent to you.
you should have invested the initial £250 first, and then when the final assessment is made at on/before 5th april, once it is confirmed you are 'low income' it will be automatic. im stilling waitnig for the top up but dont expect it for another week or two.:A Boots Tart :A0
