One and a Half Months and No Wins Yet

Make sure you only spend your time doing comps for things you can use (Having said that my two recent wins I've had to give away on here becasue I couldn't get time off for one of them and the other they sent the tickets too late for me to use. I would have loved to have used both though).
A lot of the comps don't finish for a few weeks/months so it might be too late to be looking at wins anyway.
I'm sooo unlucky with the instant wins. I bet I couldn't even win a Mars football if I tried but I do keep trying and I'm sure I'll win something eventually! Same with you. Unfortuantely it doesn't follow that more entries always wins more prizes.
Do remember though that even if you win a big prize by the time you work out your hourly rate for comping you'll almost certainly be below minimum wage. And (and please don't kick me people who do this!) most of the values that people put next to the prizes they win are made up, either by them or the promoters so aren't always a true representation of their value.Trying hard to remember... if it makes you feel any better i've been comping for 4 years now, and only won 4 things:eek:, although one of those things was a week in the bahamas:D
i think it helps if you don't expect to win or see entering as a chore. if it stops being fun i'll stop for a few weeks and come back to it. it amazes me when i see how much people on here have won, but it's all the luck of the draw.
anyway, i'm expecting the phone call from the daily mail about the house in france....
hope someone from here wins it!!Smoke free since 30/01/13 :j0 -
It took me a good month or so before any win started happening. I got my first proper win about 6 weeks in. I get dry spells but I don't enter every comp - only comps with prizes I want or we can use as presents for the family.
Try comps with lots of prizes because you will get a better chance. Even small prizes boost the way you feel about comping. I know one thing - any prize that is useful to you can enrich your life, even if it is for a couple of seconds.
