Lots of people sell them on eBay. Otherwsie try https://www.new-reg.co.uk or https://www.britishcarregistrations.co.uk
By the way, whats the plate? Someone on here might want it!!If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -
I didn't originally post the plate as its not very money saving and I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post it (especially here). Board Guide - if I'm not then please delete this post.
The plate is S11AHJ - only of ethnic interest to someone with the name J Shah.
I'm not sure what to value it as, and want to achieve the best price.
By comparison - S11AHY is going for £6k; J5HAH £9k; SHA11S £19k.0 -

Everything you wanted to know about cherished transfers: http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/cherish.htm
DVLA will issue you another number. Costs £80 to transfer a number plate. What you get for the number plate will depend on the other letters. They seem to be going for £600+, but there are a lot of them on the market.0 -
fagun wrote:What was it and what did you get? Was the price you got similar to those the cherished number plate sellers are quoting? I've been quoted £1k by regtransfers.co.uk.
I had D*CLC - my initials, and plates with a single number are always worth more thand 2/3 numbered plates.
I sold it for £800...not bad considering I bought it for £295 :j
I had it valued by several places like regtransfers but only 1 of them came back and offered to advertise it..and once sold take a commission from the sale price....advertised for 3weeks with no takers so popped it on eBay and sold it after 7 days for £95 less than it was vlaued at!
I put the plate on retention before selling the car so the car went back to its original numberNew car (not even 2months old) up for sale:-

I'd phone round some of the companies that sell personalised plates who advertise in the back of Auto Express, Autocar, Evo etc and see what they'd offer you for the plate. Ebay would be worth a try too.Happy chappy0

If you are looking for a personalised number plate, you should try https://www.numberfox.com.

Then they send you emails every time they find number plates that match.0
