Abbey 6 month 0% APR with no balance transfer fee

I received an offer of a 6 month 0% APR with no balance transfer fee for my Abbey Zero card today to celebrate their name change! It's the first no balance 0% offer I have seen for ages. Not sure if I will use it though, could transfer via egg money to load it but with interest rates so low it's hardly worth it.
I may use the Nationwide debit card in Europe this summer, rather than Abbey zero, since from memory I think the Zero card attracts interest immediately anyway.

We also received a letter but it said 2% interest on balance transfers, sods!
Was there a promotional code? could really do with something like this at the moment!0 -
No I haven't used it.0

I've just received this today too.

My card hasn't been used for about 6 months.0 -

Does it say to quote a code?
When do you have to do it by?0 -

You could try it, but I think they mark the promotion on their computer systems so it only applies to selected accounts.
If they won't offer it to you, you could threaten to close the account.

I posted about this on the Stoozing board. Took them up on their very nice offer and they confirmed the end date (for me) was 7th January - so actually 7 months. Mind you I received two letters - the first offering me a BT for 6 months for being a good customer (which is the offer I took) and then a second a few days later offering a BT for 6 months due to the name change. Both at 0% with no fee.
Having said that, someone else has posted on the Stoozing board that they were offered 12 months at 0% with no fee. Some people have all the luck :beer:0 -
Interesting, might just go for the 12 months then, lol0

I had two similar letters. I haven't used my Abbey card for some while due dire customer service. Out of the blue, the bank has offered me 0% on BTs for 12 months with no fee.
