Basically got made redundant would I qualify to claim interest gross rather than with income tax taken off?

Depends how much you've earnt this tax year. If its under your personal allowance then yes. (and savings interest doesn't take you over)0

CTC and child benefit are not taxable0

not sure if income support, CTC and child benefit are classed as earnings or "taxable benefits"
any one have any ideas? HMRC website is difficult to fathom
