Just received this email from Egg:
We're making some changes to your Egg Card Conditions.
These changes are to Conditions 4.2, 7.2 and 11.4 of your Egg Card. They come into effect from 1 May 2006 onwards and are as follows:
4.2 – this change is to clarify that if you breach your conditions whilst in your introductory period, you will lose the benefit of the introductory promotional rate.
7.2 – this change confirms we're increasing the handling fee from 2% to 2.5% of the amount of each transferred balance, and that we are also removing the limit for the maximum amount that can be charged.
11.4 – this change is to clarify that if you breach your conditions whilst in a special promotion period, you will lose the benefit of the special promotion offer.
Only 7.2 concerns me slightly - I have an old style Egg card which (I think)doesn't charge fees for BTs - in fact on 1 March 2006 I took advantage of the anniversary offer fee free. So I am surprised to read that the fee is increasing from 2%?? Is this just a mistake by Egg and they are sending this email to all cardholders, even those who got on board before they started charging fees? Or am I mistaken in thinking that I don't have to pay fees currently?

Hi - there has already been quite a lot of discussion on here (both the credit card and stoozing boards) and on the stoozing website about these changes.
