    most of the candidates are of a poor standard, do any of them have common sense?? makes for great watching though :-)

    I agree. There is ever only 2-3 candidates that do have these qualities and those are the ones that get into the final.
    The rest is only chosed to make it fun.

    I gta say the candidates get worse every year. Also its more blatent producers run the show, they influence the order in which Sir Alan fires them.
    Ill admit im drawn to watch it every week but it doesn't have that spark anymore.

    I applied for last years show, had 2 interviews in London which were horrendously scary, but didnt get through to the show.

    I cried when I found out, but strangely it was 100% relief rather than sorrow. I think I am more suited to watching and shouting at the telly than participating myself !

    I'd have to look into whether it would affect my JSA benefits; I'm not sure they'd like me spending 12 weeks in a penthouse instead of applying for jobs. Also, I hear a lot of companies are having their recruitments cancelled even after they've been accepted; I might get to the end of the 12 weeks then get told the job's been withdrawn
