    Hi Moneypenny,

Its a scary time and i can so understand and remember when i faced that awful day.
Your bank will not ring anyone to say what is happening and as much as it might feel like everyone will know and think your a terrible person, your not you have found yourself in a situation you could not cope with.

You both have made a big decision and are dealing with it, support each other and allow yourself a moment to look back and see the dfference.

Yes the creditors will contact you, but they cannot enter your home, they cannot put you in prison. If dealing with them is too much, then perhaps getting a cheap pay as you go phone, add the peopke you want to be in contact with and turn off your other phones so you dont have to deal with them.

May your court appointment, it made me get on with it and fill my forms out etc.
It will take months for your creditors to go through the prcess - i had over a year and never got taken to court.i told them i was seeking advice and they would go away for another moth or so.

good louck petal, hugs and well done

    Hi again

I just looked for my local county court in yellow pages and asked for someone who deals with bankrupsy. They will tell you where to get the forms from and will give you an appointment if you need one. Some courts need an appointment others say bring the forms.

If you have any questions CAB are very good. You may be able to talk to someone or have to make an appointment. Again they are in the yellow pages.

If you don't know something ask. There is no such thing as a daft question so don't worry about that and theres loads of people on these boards that have been through what you are going through.

Big Hugs:grouphug:, I'm in the same boat, the phone calls and letter have even start to effect my health (heart palpations/dizzyness), I live with my parents and they have been a great support.
Finding this board yesterday really lifted a weight off my shoulders, because you can find information and support all at the same time.
And not feel alone or judged.
Blessings to you, as you get through this.:A

My advice is to get on with it and forget the creditors. I took them all by suprise, cancelled what I could, emptied the account and then maxed out the OD plus a grand on top. Phil is right "They don't give a s**t about you" so stuff em. Take the money and run. Don't tell them anything just do it;)
