When do school summer hoildays start in Scotland

It has been like that for years and years with the kids holiday tv starting when the English go on holiday. Was the same when i was at school and you had to wait ages, I always watched 'Why Don't You'. I don't think its quite as bad these days as alot of people have freeview or Sky, at least with freeview you get CBBC and cbeebies, my kids love those channels.
Its nice weather just now don't want want your kids out running about outside and using up all their energy!!??0 -

Not that we spend all summer in front of the TV but it would just be great to have the same sort of holiday programming in Scotland,wouldnt it.
Surely that is why we have BBC Scottish region and an ITV company called Scottish television. It shows how much autonomy they really have when they can't even schedule in childrens programmes for our holidays.0 -
