* Electricity only suply help *

Hi

I've just moved into a flat which runs everything on electricity only.

I have the immercian heating/eco 7 with economy electric rates after midnight which is when i delay timer any appliances i can too.

I changed the existing supplier to British Gas when i moved in march as there was a problem with the existing suply and British Gas was the supplier at my previous property and due to their mistakes i was paying huge arrears in installments which i couldnt afford in the lump sum of a final bill.

I am less than confident after numerous mistakes on their part to continue with them as my supplier but am unsure which company can offer me the best deal on my electricity.

Please could someone help translate for me where i am best of going from here?

thanks, Jo

    Hello,

We've just moved into an all-electric flat too, and the original supplier was British Gas. We were lucky enough to have the chance to speak to the previous tenants about the property before we moved in, so I asked some questions about the electricity supplier. The previous tenant told me British Gas were astronomical for bills when they first moved in, so after a bit of switching between nPower and Eon, they settled with Scottish Power and it's been much cheaper. So we're just carrying on with SP. Obviously I have no idea if SP would be cheaper for you as there are all kinds of factors, but maybe the only way to determine who is best is to try a few out first?

Estimate your use in kwh. As you've only just moved in, this can only be a guess but you may have an idea from your account at your previous property. Use this figure on a comparison site using your post code to compare tariffs for your region.
