Bank charges on dormant account

I had a business bank account with Barclays about 8 or 9 years ago. The business was wound up and the account left dormant. I then moved house and phoned the bank who changed my address on my personal account.
However, I had forgotten about the business account and never gave it another thought until 8 years later when I called Barclays about a totally unrelated transaction on my current account. During the call they informed me that the business account was still live and incurring charges.
I couldn't believe that they'd just been adding charges on a dormant account for over 8 years without trying to contact me on my home address which they had on their system.
Can I reclaim the bank charges?

Did you ask Barclays to close the account when the business was wound up? I would argue that if you did then the bank failed to follow your instruction and it is therefore bank error.0 -
How much are the charges? I may be in a similar situation..
