There are several free PC-to-PC methods; Skype and GoogleTalk for example. You both must download and install the software, make an account each and then add each other as friends. It's very easy but post if you're having problems.

One thing to note is that some countries in the Middle East block this software. You'll have to ask your friend if he can use it in Dubai. If not, you can still use Skype to call a landline in Dubai, but you'll have to pay for it :rolleyes:

If you can dial 0870 numbers free of charge on your calling plan it is possible to build credit using www.precaller.co.uk.

To build credit, first register on www.precaller.co.uk then dial 0870 192 2100 from the phone number you registered. If your phone withholds CLI you need to dial 1470 0870 192 2100 instead.

If you call the 0870 number during peak times you will build 6 credits/minute. Calling UAE costs 10 credit/minute. That means for every 10 minutes of calls to the 0870 number you can make 6 minutes of calls to UAE. Once you have sufficient credit to call UAE you have to use the access number 020 3328 1355 (again precede with 1470 if your CLI is withheld).

firstly the people who suggest using skype / voip stuff to call the person in UAE (and them using skype / voip at the other end) wont work. It is illegal for them to use those service in there and they block it and if caught can get kick out of the country..... Not good...

AsPaul suggested is the only real safe way earning points.

SIPGate.co.uk lists it at 20p/minute so it's not going to be much cheaper over VoIP anyway.
