Hi can anyone give me some advice please, bought whirlpool washer 10mths ago it's been fine then about 1month ago started to become very noisy, turns out bearing had gone i needed whole new drum fitted, problem solved under warranty just. do a few washes everything ok, did another load everything was still sopping wet, next load ok, did a quick wash 2 items sopping wet again, this goes on for about a week rang whirlpool explained had new drum but not spining clothes dry enough, sent engineer out, they say its not a fault, it has a imbalance detection fitted and the clothes must have been off balance, (towels yes maybe) but not 3 shirts. it's still in warranty but guess what i have been given a bill for £50 call out, in the warranty if not fault is found you have to pay call out charge. i was gobsmacked, i really thought there was something wrong. rang whirlpool they are not interested, blabbed on about incorrect balance and what the warranty says, does anybody else think this is fair, or should i just accept it and never buy whirlpool again.

A call-out fee if no fault is found is pretty standard for all manufacturers. If there was an easy-to-fix problem, and you realise it now, then there's nothing more you can do.
If the clothes being offbalance is a load of balls, then badger them more!Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
