capital one say i purchased mine over the telephone and that their staff are not financial advisers and could not advise me only sell me and that i received all the bumff with the 30days cancellation notice.is there a way round this?thanks in anticipation

Hi Trish

Again as its an online sale they are fobbing you off and if this was taken out since 2005, the staff had responsibilities when selling this product, I would point this out to them, write back and tell them you assumed it was an all one finance policy, if this was the case, so you did not cancel as you also assumed you would have to cancel and repay the whole lot in one go, I in-fact thought that and this was my reason why I never cancelled at the time.;)

Do not worry and you have your reasons, like I said above, even if the staff did not give much advice then before 2005, afterall your are still the customer, not the adviser.;)
