Hi all,
Hope this is the right forum apologies if not and feel free to move.
I need to transfer some money urgently from my the UK to my Aunt in Australia. I have spoken to my bank (Yorkshire Bank) and it can only be done by going into the branch and they charge £24 with no idea until I go into the brach of how long it will take to arrive in her account. And on top of that I live no where near a branch having moved cities since setting up the account many years ago.
Is there any other cheap way that I can get the money over there quickly and securely?
Many Thanks in advance.

Well you could use western union as your sending the money to someone you know and trust , they are same day from uk to australia and poberly a lot cheaper then £24 ,or i could give you my sort code and account number and ill sort it for you:)
Dont worry about scare stories about western union, thats happened because of to many scammers.
Just looked on thier site and the money is transfered in minutesFor everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -

Hi, I usually use 'MoneyGram' via the local Post Office to send cash
to my daughter in Sydney.
You decide how much you want to send, pay the Post Office (IN CASH)
a form is completed with references etc., and the person to whom you
are sending the money can collect the CASH at any number of outlets in the designated place within about 10 to 20 mins.
Go to the Post Office Web site for information on Money Grams.
Good Luck0 -
Thanks everyone all sorted now.:rolleyes:;):cool::o:rolleyes:;):o:o:cool:0
