cash back versus 0% for purchases

I had have all the best cashback cards suggested by this site for a few years now,I also have an internet based mortgage current account with an debit interest rate of 5.6%.could any mathematitions out there tell me if I would be better off spending on 0% for purchase cards thus keeping the money in my bank reducing my mortgage for the 0% period untill it is time to pay it off ,then swapping to a new card deal,(this would run in conjuction with my usual stoozing)or sticking to the usual amex 2% teird and 1% visa backup. I spend approx £15000 a year on cards.any comments would be helpfull.
bye hoo

If all of your £15000 spend went through Amex Patinium you would get approximately £238 cashback on the anniversary of the joining date.
Whatever you spend on a 0% card (purchases) for say 9mths still has to be paid off in full at the end of the 0% period or BT to another card in which case you are just putting off paying in full to reduce your mortgage.
i would consider loading your current account with £10000 or more from 0% credit cards and reduce your mortgage rate by leaving the £10000 in the account.
But you will still have minimum payments on the card(s) to make and to pay the borrowed money off in full at some point.

0% on purchases for x months or 1% cashback..?

Amex cashback is more than 1% on £15K spending, but calculatios are the same.

thanks for your posts ,now you,ve cleared that one up i,ll carry on with my cashback and stoozing,it was just a thought anyway, just one more thought it seens to be the begining of the end for stoozing on 0% balance transfers ,what with mbna and other charging up to 2.5% transfer fees .maybe we should start thinking of another plan
    bye hoo
