Costco and the 4 year old Tefal Iron

Got to give credit where credit is due - took an old Tefal Iron back to Costco today - which was 4 years old BUT was sent overseas and broke within the first year - and has only just arrived back in the UK on a relatives container.

After a long explanation and standing of ground a manager gave me a full refund. :T

However one of the ladies behind the counter (complete cow) was desperate for me NOT to get it refunded.

Only problem was they never had any others in stock to replace it.

Costco are excellent for their no quibble refunds. Half the time you don't even have to give a reason. Shame on the cow though. 99% of Costco staff are really helpful and put the rest of the retail world to shame.

A family friend of ours was given a full refund on a printer (about 6/7 years old) because 'she couldn't buy ink for it anymore' from Costco.
