My startup is very slow. I have done everything I can to speed it up. My pc spends a while in the welcome and startup screen loading up.
My start up used to be alot quicker.
How can I speed things up.
Any help appreciated.

Over 1000 pound in debt.
To many red letters.
Welfare Rights helped me out.
Now I pay a little amount each month to clear debt.
So much eaiser the pressure has been taken off me. :A :A :A :A :A :A :A

How many icons have you got down by the clock in the bottom right hand side?
Press alt+ctrl+del, select processes and count how many processes you have, the list could be very long indeed.
Do a Virus scan online at either of these:
http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home.asp
http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/virusscanner
Maybe post any results here.
And before ANYONE starts on about malware and spyware, the above links check for both..“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

If you try the above and it doesn't show any viruses, malware, spyware and if its not due to number of processes, try checking your hard drives for errors in windows.
if you right click on the drive and select properties, it should be in there.0
