in IVA & DRO
I won £86 on the lottery via the online thingy.. how annoying is that - I am unable to transfer the cash into my bank account otherwise it will show up on my bank statements and the IVA will get it... now don't get me wrong - if it was in the thousands/millions fair enough then I could pay off the IVA ha, ha -
so I will just have to leave it in my lotto account and re-use it over many many months (I only do it once in a blue moon!) typical huh!
oh, no just been given a cheque for £14 today I can't pay that in either otherwise they will take that this is crazy..grrrr

That seems harsh - my IVA allows me a windfall up to £500 before I have to hand any over. I'd assumed that they were all pretty much the same as far as that sort of detail is concerned, are you sure they will want a share of such a small amount?0

my IP never ased for bank statements so was able to "hide" the odd small amount lol guess I was lucyTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0

yes, I'm with CCCS sadly its stated that all windfalls including lottery wins have to be give up.....0

Hi Mother Hen,
You know, I don't think anyone will notice the swelling of your bank account with the enormity of an £86 windfall.
I would suggest you transfer it across to your current account and enjoy yourself with a nice treat, and if anyone does notice it and mentions it I'd be absolutely amazed, and even if they did, they'd only be able to take 50% anyway.
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on,go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on - enjoy it.

hi
I dont think they would notice the credit and they only check your account once a year! you could try opening another basic bank account but make sure it has no overdraft, the iva company could never find out about the bank account but make sure the account has no links to your current creditors included in the iva you must pick a company that has no link to them what so ever
hope this helpsAqua card - £250 Limit up to date, Jd Williams £150 limit up to date, Argos store card £400 limit up to date, Next £300 limit up to date.:beer:0 -
Thankyou for the advice.. I'm not brave enough to open another account - though must admitt I had thought of it! I was worried that would be seen as being dishonest.
MIVAA- now then -love your idea of putting it and hoping but.... they really do seem to be on the ball with things.. they've already asked us for the newly issued p60 - even though 'technically', we didn't start out payments until this tax year.. I challenged their request and reminded them they had our P60 on file from application. They said part of the agreement of the IVA was they had a copy each year - yes I can understand for the tax year when we started paying but not the previous year (that shows OH bonus).. so yep they seem a bit keener now they are actually getting payments from us!0
