My bath!

Hi guys! We bought a bath from HERITAGE with a fantastic guarantee (think it was 25 years). More expensive than alternatives but thought the design and guarantee was worth paying the extra for.
The bath was installed and the bathroom finished around it (plumbing, plasterboard, fitted units, etc) but the bottom had been moulded so thinly that the corner literally dropped out the first time it was used! Luckily the tiling hadn't been done then. Heritage suppied a replacement bath and paid a carpenter to re-install everything around it.
The problem is that the I'm really not happy with the replacement. Within a matter of months the finish is chipping; there are at least a couple of dozen little chips all over the surface. I have contacted Heritage who say that this is entirely my fault and they will do nothing to help me but surely nobody expects their bath to chip from normal family use?! Nothing has been dropped in it... apart from, maybe, a plastic shower gel or shampoo bottle?
Any ideas?
