I know this question is like asking how long is a piece of string?

I am just buying a new build which is already to move in. The solicitor has now got our mortgage offer letter so just need to exchange and complete, does anybody know how long this will take?

As I need to move out of my rented by the end of the month!!

It can take up to 14 weeks, depends on how fast your solicitor and lender can sort things out. Could be just 4 weeks if everybody's moving fast.

we are in the same situation, been given a date to exchange and complete 5 weeks after first viewing the property - if it all goes ok. Still waiting for them to do the survey on our house though but apart from that the process is well underway.
    now mum of 4!!!
