holiday chalet - do people stay in them often?

Hi there,

I am getting some inheritance from my grandad so am condisering buying a chalet, can use it at weekends etc but during the shcool holidays i could rent it out.
Is this viable? do people stay in them? was thinking especially with the credit crunch cheaper holidays are on the up?

    we have a chalet on a camp site, and if friends want to come and stay they often hire one from the site or privatley, so yes it can earn you a little money especially in the school holidays !
