I have also got a savings account with Natwest. But I dont like it as it appears online when I log in to my bank account; I can see what little I have and I can always manage to find something that I just have to buy that matches the amount saved.... Hence Sainsbury so its a little more "hidden". Mind you, I may just convert it all into gold coins and bury it in the garden.

I seem to have curbed my spending/budgeting etc, but I haven't mastered the longer term saving yet!

Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.

Since BR, I will for the first time ever, pay for 12 months car tax in one go.

Never managed that before and it is done by Budgeting and saving in pots in my cupboard

I know it is risky but dont trust spending on card now. Everything (apart from DD's./S/o's) is done in cash now.

I have got an Abbey E saver but not got much in it just in case they close it down.

Not really answered the question but thought I would just jump in and give my situation :D

cant comment yet.....apparently they still cant confirm my identity despite me on the electoral role & sending copies of requested info (thought it would be an idea to open this as it seemed easier to get at the cash than sainsburys)
