hello we are going away with friends camping and caravans, would like the new forest area close to beach ie with in short car drive, and on site shop, and kids play area. I have tried to google it, but there are so many, i tried sandy balls, but came in at 100.00 for 3 nites. I realsie it going to be expensive but i would feel better it it was cheap!!!

We stayed at hollands wood in brockenhurst last summer. 3 children, 3 adults. Kids loved it. There isn't an shop on site, but a Tesco's just done the road (cheaper than campshops). We didn't look for a play park as kids were happy watching the horses and cows that roam around the campsite. For a 4 day stay it was £54 for me and my 2. Bargain as it was peak season.
You are close to the new forest and it's so worth hiring bikes. I had to hire bikes with attachments as my ones are to little to ride, but they loved it. Also you are close to bournemouth. That site is close to a river for pretend netting!!! (well we caught nothing!). I loved it there.

Have a look at these.
You could try Holmsley, I think it has everything you require.

Just booked with Forest Holidays for the campsite at Ashurst in the New Forest but close to Southampton. They take a deposit when you book but you can find info about the sites HERE which gave some interesting opinions when we were looking.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0
