Just what is included in high postage costs?

After emailing a seller to see if they would lower their combined p&p costs on 2 very small, lightweight items this is the explanation I received back nothing like fee avoidance explained in detail. :rotfl:

shipping and handling fee for 2 fixed price item, will be USD 22.00.

For the shipping fee, let me explain why our shipping fee is higher than others

our shipping fee include bellowing
*domestic shipping from factory to us
*int'l shipping
*insurance
*I hire one person (part time) to do some supporting job
hire one part time guy can make me have more time online to deal with question answer, delivery problem issue, etc. we online almost 10~16 hr per day.

as you can see, our products' price are lower than other sellers' because we get the items from OEM facotry directly. and, almost all of the products are facotory last lot. (after factory produced products and export the products for the oversea clients. factory use left material produced these products --we call them "last lot") so, the qty for these products are not so many. some styles only can produce 3~5 pcs. Once, facotory get "last lot" products, they will inform us. and we would decide purchase or not. In this case, we purchase from factory almost every day. and, arrange delivery every day from factory (this factory is not located in another province. ) . so, our local shipping cost is higher than other seller.

the prices of our products which we listing on ebay, the price is almost same as our purchasing price. and, for auction style items, price start from very low level. we never set reserve price. thats why we do not provide discount for auction style items.(for fixed price, we provide USD 2.00 for each additional item)

we only earn USD3~4 handling fee from each fix price item. if people bought 2 or more fix price items, we only can earn USD 2.5~3.5 from each item.

We got few customers who have their own boutique in USA and Nederland. They purchase many swimsuits and dress from us every week. last time, my one USA customer purchased 30 PCS, also same discount policy.

Hope above explaination can make you understand why our shipping is higher than other sellers'.

Fair play - just buy from someone else.

If enough people do this then maybe they will have to review their policy.

is there anyone else offering the same items for a better total combined price (postage plus sale price)?

If so buy from them, if not you are getting the best deal available so what does it matter?

Let ebay worry about the fee issue you just snap up the deal while it's available.......

Usually I would weigh it up like that but there is a chance the items could be fake so I think I'll steer clear.

There is anyway- the amount of fake cards we recieve would support the fact that it's a global problem. :(
