Mrs' Birthday - Help

Hi

Its my Mrs' birthday next week and have no idea what to get her...I asked and she said she does not know. She wants a facial and have booked her in for this.

But would like to get something special as we are expecting our first baby in December and something linked to this would be nice.....any ideas???

Cheers

Perhaps you could get her something baby related that will also be nice for her, I bought my friend a changing bag from Boots and it looks more like a handbag than a changing bag - she's chuffed as it is so stylish
Or perhaps book her in for a pregnancy pamper before she is due and tell her about it now...

Hi! Congratulations on your upcoming new arrival.

There are lots of lovely pampering products available that your wife could perhaps use at her leisure - bath products, moisturizers etc. That, and a selection of books (baby books perhaps?), and expensive chocs would be lovely. She needs to relax and pamper herself as much as possible right now - because she won't get much chance to come December!

As the above poster said, a really posh looking changing bag would be good, or you could possibly pay for her to have a 3/4D scan when she's a bit further on in her pregnancy. You'd get a clear pic of how your baby looks and you'd get pictures to keep. (They wouldn't scan 'sensitive' areas of the baby if you don't wish to know the sex).

I haven't had this kind of scan personally, but those that I know who have, have raved about it!

Hope you find something nice for her. x

Personally, I wouldn't focus on the upcoming baby, I was 6 months pregnant on my last birthday and would have been quite upset had I received gifts regarding baby/pregnancy, it's our baby, not just mine, Christmas was only 3 weeks after my bday and I received just one thing (which was lovely and well chosen) so it didn't dominate the day.

What have you bought her in previous years?

I agree, maybe get her some jewellery or take her for a weekend break?

Something she'll really enjoy, but for her, not for the baby. Late deals to France are quite affordable, so you could whisk her off as a surprise? I'm sure she'd love it!

When I was pregnant, my sister treated me to loads of Lush and B never too Busy to be beautiful goodies. OH bought me a couple of really nice bags. Not changing bags, but one of them could have doubled up as one, which was useful.

I'm sure whatever you get will be appreciated.

I'm eight months pregnant and I vote for a pedicure.

I also say no to baby stuff. I'm pregnant and if it were my birthday I'd want stuff for me!

So...you could probably get away with a pregnancy massage treatment (I had one and they are fab) or I'd say a nice piece of jewellery.

What about a Pandora charm bracelet? Loads of charms to choose from - some baby related. Although you'd probably need to know her wrist size.

Nice make-up, perfume, gift vouchers for new clothes after shes had little one?
Just to win anything would be great!!
  • How old is she, and, not being nosey but what kind of monetary limit have you available? Are nights-out / weekend away out of the question?
