Hi I was wondering if anyone can help with this problem

my partner has a site which when I view from my pc is fine, however when viewing from the laptop the forms become distorted.

ie on website there is a form for FEDEX for tracking parcels

fill in Username .................
Password ..................

when viewing on laptop it becomes

username
.............

password
............

what would cause this, would have a play around to sort but cant get near the laptop as its always in use, so bar doing it in the middle of the night I have no chance of getting near it :-)

thanks in advance....

Are you using the same browser / version? Is the screen the same size, or the window the same size?

no different browser, could it be a compatibility issue as here ?

I don't think it is to do with screen size as it views ok on min laptop....

any opinions on compatibility issue and if this could be the issue?

    cheers

Some web pages will appear slightly different when viewed in different browsers, if you are using full standard design then they should look virtually identical, but this isn't always the case.

If you are using something specific which IE supports (but isn't totally web safe/standard) then it'll appear fine in IE, but not as expected in Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc. Which is why most people like to avoid this quick IE features, which cause havoc and don't fit into the standards by http://www.w3.org/.
