    is it possible to join your group on FB without anyone knowing? I've been staying away just because we haven't told anyone yet! (though next week is looking like the time)

    Yeah, i went to settings > applications > groups > edit settings > only me

    Stops people seeing anything about any groups you're in. BUT the MSE group is private anyway so would only show on your profile to others in that group.

    aless you can join then go on your profile front page and remove where it says you joined a certain group x

    when you join, it will show on your Groups, member of box in the info section and will also show you that you have joined on your profile page, but you can hide that one.
