Morning all. Just getting ready for work. Still stressing a bit that I'm not feeling much movement at 19+2. Is that normal? I am getting flutterings that I think are bubs, but nothing definite. I have my scan in 6 days so hopefully that will show that everything is good.

    Morning all..

*hugs* for MrsMoc! I had all the dangers of a c-section explained to me at speed then a consent form shoved in my face which I just signed and gave back as they took the brakes off the bed to take me to theatre. It was only about a week later when I was going through my bags that I found the copy the doctors had given to OH and read it again that it hit home what the consequences could have been. Ultimately the VP could have caused me to bleed to death and neither of us to have survived (don't want to know the stats for that right now though!) but I'm sure I would have still freaked if I'd have had anytime to think about it beforehand! Makes me glad I was told at speed.. I'm the type to read the Nurofen leaflet and panic too! :(

On a happier note.. I'm currently lying on my own bed :D Argos have decided anytime between 7am and 10am is a perfectly reasonable hour to deliver our new frdge/freezer, so OH dropped me off here on his way to work. I'm staying until the builders turn up at about 9am then mum's coming to get me so I'm back at the hospital for when the doctors come round to see Rhys.

Speaking of the gorgeous wee thing, he's been off CPAP all night! Looks so peaceful, they don't want to disturb him to put him back on it. He was absolutely shattered after the six hours straight he did on Sunday but the registrar has been checking him every few hours and says he's breathing fine so doesn't need to go back on it yet. Will see what the consultant has to say in a few hours :)

Going to go out with Mum after seeing the docs to pick the internal doors for the house, and some nice bits like blinds and towels :) Speaking of the house, it's bloody freezing! :( No heating on (various radiators taken off the walls for decorating) plus the air was really stale in the bedroom so I've opened the window and wrapped myself in a fleece blanket!

Right, off to look for Searching's birth story and see if I can get any of the brekkie news programmes to play online (tv unplugged and covered with a very dusty dustsheet!)..

Hope everyone has a good day xx

ETA: GISI, I think they go up to 22wks for a first-timer before worrying about lack of feeling movements. Definitely mention it at your scan - hopefully bubs will be awake for it and they'll be able to point out the movements to you. It may be that your placenta is at the front so bubs is kicking that rather than your tummy, iyswim :) Try lying on the sofa/bed, on your back, and press your tummy - bubs might kick you back. Tia told me to try it when I was about 18-19wks and it worked (my placenta was at the top tho') :)
