Just rushing on, no time to read posts as have to rush out to yoga, but MW visit didn;t really go that well.

I am measuring 29 cms (well, the first attempt it was 31cms but she did it again) and she has sent me for a scan to measure teh baby next Thursday.

She then said that if I am small I have to go under a consultant who won;t want to let me have a home birth, that if baby is born under 7lbs then even if I have a HB I then have to go into hospital, and just loads of stuff I didn;t want to hear.

I made her do the HB forms and said I intend to have a HB unless there are serious issues, and she did say she'd support me in what I want, but I got the impression I might have to fight for it.

I didn;t mention feeling down cos there was just too much else to worry about!

She isn;t sure which way up baby is, whether it is maybe back to back, whether it has two heads lol, basically she cannot feel what is what in there.

She thinks it's a girl though, from the HB, which is interesting.

Anyway, I have to rush out the door and will come back later or tomorrow but thanks everyone for your kind thoughts, words, and dodgy hugs and I will catch up properly and reply properly later.

If anyone has any info on small babies and home births I'd love to have it!!

    :)
Skinty - I'm sure you'll be fine, sounds like the MW was either useless or bubba was playing hide and seek in there :)
The MW I saw on Tuesday spent ages faffing about touching my bump, in the end I told her where he was and she said "oh yes your right" seriously I thought she was the one trained to know these things! :p
Also I really don't see why a baby that is guesstimated to be under 7lb can't be born at home, the MWs are fully aware that Chris was 6lb 12oz and no-one has a problem with that. A full term baby is generally not considered to be small unless they are less than 2500g which is about 5 1/2 lbs

pump pump pump is the best way honey :D
I saw u ask about eating before, you just need to eat normally (ie more that the tuna sarnies you were living off) maybe a bit more than you would pre-preg as milk uses calories.
I have to know tho, the other day you said you had egg n bacon pie - what's that?? I bet my OH would love it!
