Lyme Regis, MW that came today was from Weymouth. She was called Sophie. Scan is about 15 mins on the other side of Honiton but I can highly recommend them, they do them at weekends. Lady who runs it works at the R.D&E. in Exeter.

Harley I don't blame you for taking them at their word- it's not worth risking making it worse. I love those cross stitches. Would they be easy enough for a complete novice? Might be a nice thing to do on mat leave as I have 6 weeks off before bubs is due.

Fitz and GISI - They are so simple it is ridiculous. The ideal kit for a beginner. [STRIKE]I think sewandso.co.uk sell them for about £6 ish[/STRIKE], though I got mine on ebay.

It seems sewandso have stopped selling them. They are the Simply Heritage Livestock range but so far have had no joy locating them. Can only see the sheep and cow on ebay too.

They are all whole stitches, none or hardly any backstitch and no knots or anything. Chart is nice and clear with great instructions. Threads, needle, chart and fabric are all included in the kit. I would recommend a hoop to work from (round wooden on approx 7" across would be ideal for this kit) which can also be bought from sewand so.

Nancmat - Yeovil hospital are now doing 3D scans check the link

That must be nearer than Honiton and is only £65. I've almost decided to have one. I checked with the hospital last week and the 30 week growth scan they want to give me is just an ordinary one.
