I don't think my belly button bothered me before, but since being pregnant, I hate OH touching it. It feels really weird. Even if I touch it myself!

    I have a question -

SIL is pregnant and has had bleeding/pains etc since she found out. She has had 4 early scans but they found nothing wrong. On Wed, she just had her booking appointment (at the hospital) and her 12 week scan and was given an EDD of Nov 30th. She says they told her that her next appointment would be 28 weeks!! Surely that doesn't sound right? I know it's different in all areas, and I had my booking appointment at 8 weeks at the Health Centre, but have been attending every 6 weeks since then. Is this possible, or is she confused?

    Thanks!

It could be that your SIL has shared care - this is where she alternates between her GP and midwife at the hospital which is what I'm doing. I had the 12 weeks booking in appointment at the hospital, with a follow up at 16weeks to get my blood test results then nothing until the 20 week scan (actually at 22 weeks) then I'm seeing my GP at 24 weeks, then back to the hospital for 28 weeks.

I've just had a count and I'm twelth from the top. It seems like no time at all that I was making my first posts, worried sick about how my morning sickness had stopped completely and I was scared something was wrong.

tara you still as sore as last night or has it eased off a bit?

MW said she doesn't think it will go until bubs is born. Did a bit of housework for an hour this afternoon then back laid on the bed, then Tescos with OH to do a small shop and straight back to bed. My legs don't seem to hold me up properly. Most of the time i just accept it but it's funny how at odd times it gets to you, but we all have things to deal with and I'm just grateful mine aren't as difficult as some of the other girls on here! :)

    I'M 49TH
    In the top 50!!!!

Why does everyone say I look so huge!!!!! I started to think that perhaps the steroid injections I had back in August could be playing a part :o

Someone today told me that I was so big that I "definitely won't last another four weeks. Mark my words, that baby will be out in two weeks, it'll be just under 7lb and will be a girl". (This was a bloke who must be in his mid to late forties. I've no idea what he's basing it on!).

I've still got two more weeks at work, and have lots of lunches and a hair appointment booked for my first week of leave. Arriving any time after 39 weeks will be convenient :D
