tescos pay at the pump

I always use pay at the pump.
I have two gripes
1...At a rough guess every 4th or 5th time the printer fails to give me a receipt so i end up having to go in and queue for a receipt (the very reason why i use p at p in the first place). The till operator then has to go out the back to get the details and give me a hand written receipt. I have never had an operator apologise and they always go out the back grudgingly.
2...In lowestoft on friday this happened and I had a very unfriendly lady who had to get out of her seat and go out the back to get the receipt for me, but then as i was in the kiosk I thought I would ask for the computer vouchers ( I have not asked for any on previous visits and obviously dont get any on normal pay at pump visits). The lady replied "I am not allowed to give vouchers when you have paid at the pump"
I just walked out but wasnt happy, I had spent £32 on diesel and I spend between £40 and £50 a week on diesel and always in tesco.

There is a very simple solution - pay in the kiosk instead!0

Everytime I have tried to use the pay at pump it never recognises my clubcard so I have to go in to pay at kiosk! I find the idea very convienent as I have a baby and hate having to take her out and strap her back in her car seat. Oh well Ill keep on trying............:j BABY A :j0

If it wont recognise your clubcard keep the receipt and then get them added next time you are in store0 -
pay @ pump is a nightmare for the staff too .. the card readers get dirty or damp or both very easily and then shut down to reboot them involves closing the petrol station again a bloody nightmare its ironic because they were impletmented to cut congestion on the forecourt but as the OP says you end up queueing for a receipt anyway with regard the computer vouchers personally i would have isssued them although we aren't supposed to with p@p but small price for goodwill with put out customeri'm living in a parallel universe0

The pay at the pumps work fine in the US. The tesco's pumps are always tatty and dirty. They should maintain them.

Have you tried getting a new clubcard off Tesco's, but as mentioned in other replies sometimes the answer is the state of the machines & weather conditions.!!!!!!There are More Questions Than Answers!!!!!!

Thats interesting, but I use a company fuel card to pay so it isnt a problem for me.
I wouldnt use my own card in a p@p0
