Sometimes when I get home from work at 11.30pm, especially on a Friday or Saturday I have an incredible craving for some savoury kind of junk food/take away type snack
Can anyone suggest any OS ideas for me or OH to make?...Oh and I chucked out the deep fat fryer so any deep fried goods are out of the question!!!
Thanks in advance everyone

HM Pizza is cheap and fun to make. You can batch make the dough and freeze - taking out a portion during the day you need it.
We have pizza teas - people choose the toppings and bob the results in the oven. I make my own tomato / onion base but DD's prefer tomato puree. Then its anything we have in the fridge - cheese, tomatoes, bacon, peppers mushrooms etc. The toppings are liberally sprinked with Italian herbs. They take about 20 minutes to bake.
DD's do a short cut of this with a bread base (thick sliced bread or french stick) which cuts out the need for remembering to thaw out the pizza dough.
Pasta with pesto stirred though only takes about 10 minutes to make.Enjoying an MSE OS life

Pizzas using pittas as a base - just add tomato sauce, grated cheese, herbs/black peper and any veg you have lying around. Shove under the grill until the cheese bubbles.
Potato wedges - scrub potatoes, chop into wedges, chuck in bowl with some oil, swirl around, add seasoning (herbs, onion or garlic granules etc) then cook in oven at gas 6/200 degrees for 30-40 mins.0 -
I'm not sure I'd want to do anything involving cooking (and washing up) at 11.30 p.m. - given that I'm usually in bed by about 9.30!
If I get peckish later on, crackers and cheese, or a cheese and pickle butty generally hit the spot.
Another stand-by for a quick gap-filler is instant mash
with grated cheese and/or tuna mixed in.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Lately I have been having cheese or peanut butter on crackers but maybe once a week something a bit naughtier would be nice!!!!!!
But even if we cooked a little snack that late at night OH would wash up next day after I had left for work anyway!!!!
Real pizza would be heaven but Pitta or French bread sounds brilliant cos its quicker and I have those in freezer all the time

Muffins make great pizza bases. If you cook up a big batch of pizza sauce and keep it in small bags in the freezer you can quickly defrost one in the microwave.Smear muffin halves with it and top with cheese.
Tuna melts are delicious.Mash tuna with mayo, spread on a muffin or french bread, top with cheese and melt under the grill.Especially delish with a handful of home sprouted beansprouts added to the tuna-makes it healthy too!
One thing I love to do is a quesadilla.Take two soft flour tortillas(wraps).Heat a frying pan,put one tortilla in, cover with grated cheese, top with the other tortilla and heat until cheese melts.Lift out and cut into quarters.Of course you can add things to this;chillies, olives, mayo, beansprouts, onion(yum).I usually do these in my big sandwich maker, one of those panini maker things, that way both sides get toasted, but you could flip the tortillas over in the pan

i agree with the quesadilla idea
they are fab ,any filling works (my fave is cream cheese mixed with spinach ) and they are so easy / quick to do
my kids like them with HM wedges0 -
My HM junk food tends to end up as chips and curry sauce!! or fried rice and curry sauce.0
