Just in case this is of use to anyone else requiring visa advice, these two companies are industry favourites and are filled with useful, freely accessible information...

Biggest load of !!!!! ive read.

It took about 1 minute to obtain my postal order and 1 minute to sort my Visa Support.

One minute? Why is this forum full of complaints about huge queues in the post office, then? Moaning about the post office and their 'service' seems to be a very British pastime, actually.

For the record, I don't think I ever managed to get in and out of the post office in the UK within 10 minutes.
Individuals of limited intelligence who would find filling in their address, name etc a bit too difficult should take heed of your advice and indeed pay out the extra for help.

However, those of us capable of filling in forms, can spare 10 minutes sorting everything out, and then are able to make the almighty mission to the postbox should take heed of my advice - and in doing so save money.

With absolutely no guarantee of success. The Russian embassies are renowned for rejecting applications for the most trivial of reasons - and bearing in mind that it's over 75 pounds for each visa, it would be hardly 'moneysaving' if you made a small mistake and lost the money, would it?

Paying an extra 40 pounds to ensure that you get the visa (RealRussia all but admit that they've got Embassy staff paid off) seems like a bargain to me.

There is saving money when it comes to utility bills - but with something like the Russian Embassy, it's far better to pay up and not have to run the risk of failure. There's plenty of reports that the new Russian VAC in London is being very very picky at times - combined with not knowing what 'customer service' actually is. Complaints are directed to the Russian Embassy - which has been telling people that visa issues should be directed to the VAC. Paying 40 pounds extra for a service which gets you the visa without fuss - it's worth it.
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

Ok so lets just wrap this up.

If you fall into category A -

You struggle to fill in forms, find spelling your name difficult, don't have the 10 minutes to put things together (even though you still have to put it together anyway) and can spare the extra costs (which over 3 Visa's amounted to £120)

    then use https://www.realrussia.co.uk

If you fall into category B -

You can fill in forms, you know how to spell your name, you don't mind queuing for 5 mins in a post office and would like to save some money.

Then apply direct using the instructions i set out above.
