Wednesday 3/6/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Good morning lovely dfw's,
yet another lovely sunny day today.
Today's list for me:
Have a lovely day everyone. Hugs to anyone feeling poorly or down - hope you feel better soon.
Big wave to all the regulars
and welcome to any new posters.
Have a lovely day everyone catch up with you all later.

Morning all
How you all doing - um 20p cheese - our tescos does things like that after 8.30 everything has 90% off. Something to do with not having to ferry it back to the mainland. I got pate last night for 15p each (freezes well) humous (freezes well - we havve experimented!). But cheese is sadly like Milly not that cheap got a few blocks of something random for 89p - which is OK as cheese is sooooooooooooooooooooo expenisve so we normally have cheese surprise now
Today
Check bank I think I got paid
Pay rent
Move some money around
Leave note with brother with danishes and say ta for doing some strimming
Storecupboard tea, lunch brekkie
Greenhouse tidied last night and watered now having refilled the massive water butt with the hose
More veggies to plant tonight
Busy day at work

Morning all, didn't have chance to come on yesterday as I had the dreaded exam. But I had a nice reward afterwards by going to see a freebie screening of The Hangover

Today I have/will:- Breakfast at home, storecupboard dinner, something boring and storecupboard for tea. All drinkies courtesy of work.
- Checked internet banking... A&L are getting very annoying. They remove pending payments from my pending payments list, I re-do them to make sure they go through... and then they take the money twice. Other than that, DDs and everything else out fine.
- Checked Quidco. Again, fine.
- Done some surveys... will do them as they come in throughout the day.
- Scratchy - 10p. Bought 5ps worth of bingo tickets but as ever, not a sausage won.
- Keep trying to find ways to make money... we've decided that if we can save an extra £72 every month, it'll make a massive difference in two year's time when we assess how much money we have for a house deposit.
This is what I currently feel like = :snow_grin0 -
Morning all! Another sunny day here - breezy but sunny. I'm hoping it isn't as hot as yesterday though - it was too hot to do anything significant! Nice for relaxing though...
Sorry to hear about your DS having a fit  How old? My DS is nearly 2 and that is something which really scares me!!! He was really really really hot yesterday - he seems to suffer from "prickly heat" and just scratchies himself red raw  I try to keep him watered all day which I think helps.
Thanks for all your well wishes to my OH. He seems a bit happier today. Funeral is next Wed - I have to see if SIL will have DS for a few hours as I think OH really would like me to go.
Plan for today is -
1/send book sold on amazon!!!!!!!!
2/online banking done
3/scratchies done
4/work hours
5/cleaning list
6/IL's coming for tea - pizza and salad it is then :rotfl:I'll make it a fancy one though!
7/play with DS lots!
8/deal with post - here's hoping for some news re money today.
9/ring docs
Busy as always then
Better crack on! Have a good day everyone!!!! DFW Nerd #11520
