im thinking of purchasing these for my small porch window. Im looking for some lined ones but want to know if anyone has roman blinds and whether they are any good.

I have a roman blind in my bathroom. Really like it. I have made them before, with good results.0

thank you for your response. Are they any good for keeping the heat in? also how far do they hang when they are fully rolled up, i have seen some pics but some hang alot lower than others.
I'm not clever enough to make my own so will be buying!

folds size depends on the height of window, but generLLY 6-8".and then some more due to bunching of the fabric. I think Romans look great when up, but many I fitted over the years look like dust sheets when down, as they are simply flat fabric. Insulation???? no not really. there are some great new head rail systems that offer controls like venetians, but many DIY ones tend to be done with wooden dowls and cords. each to there own. Once fitted some 3 mtrs x 3mtrs in a yuppie 'appartment' Neutral biege....... decorators dust/cover sheets when down, very trendy :-(0
