Overbed Unit Light Switch

I have fitted an overbed unit in my spare bedroom. The unit comes with 2 25W lights that fit under a shelf. The lights have a push button switch, but I am concerned that in the night, you could esaily touch the bulb whilst feeling around for the switch. Therefore, I want to fit a remote switch at the side of the bed, but am not sure how to do this. I don't want to use an in line switch as the cables will be visible and would spoil the look. Could I use a junction box system with an architrave switch? The lights plug into a wall socket.
