or something, not sure, but something's not quite right here..?
Myself and the missus have got separate AA memberships and to save a few quid decided to cancel hers and have a joint membership.
She rang them yesterday to ask if her card could be cancelled and her name added to my account, creating the joint account.
They said yep, no problem, just pay £7-odd.
They haven't contacted me to confirm it, something's not right that someone else (yes the missus, but could be anyone with some basic personal details) could change my membership without me knowing?

does seem like an oversight but not a particularly dangerous one
after all what gain can people get out of changing you plan without you noticing a change in your bill? and them not being able to use the service
so i think checking would seem like a bit of an overkill
still i can see your pointBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
i'm not one for going OTT in these situations

but if 'someone' could add themselves to my account, then potentially they can get access to details on the account.
I'll ring them tomorrow and be polite about it, but it is a bit out of order.0 -

i doubt they would have access to any information they hadnt already given to get on your account
stuff like bank details is always done by post as to not fall susceptible to this kind of fraud.Back by no demand whatsoever.0
