when can you make a claim hubby been made redundant

My hubby has been made redundant he will not be getting any redundancy just his months wage and 2wks holiday pay so do we have to live off that first before he can make a claim for job seekers allowance.

if needs to call them the day after he leaves work, he needs to do an over the phone interview and then they will make an appointment for him to go to the job centre - do not delay in this as they will not back date your pay - he should be claiming for income based job seekers allowance - as for living off the money you have got, no, you don't, he must claim straight away0
