Ive found this website to be offering a very good selection of football kits. They seem like a fairly ok website, they have a twitter, and blogs, and their story seems legitimate, that they're a group of football coaches offering kits at good prices.

Just something doesnt seem overally right, the deal i found on their website is about 6 quid cheaper than ive found anywhere else, which might not sound a lot but works out a lot when you're buying 8 kits.

The thing im worried about is that for the larger orders, theres no option to buy over the net, when i rang up, he said he'd do the order over the phone, and wanted my card details to do the order. Is this risky? I was just wondering if anyone had any information on them. Is it safe to give out my card details over the phone?

If you are buying for a club you can apply for a free kit through the football foundation
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

How is this connected with the Techie stuff forum?

PO Box, why not a real address? I'd avoid personally...
  • I have just been searching The Footy Shop and Brian Croot on google and found this site. The reason I was searching is placed an order with them back in March. No goods have arrived, no emails answered, and today telephone number not working. Funnily enough they did manage to take my money just fine.

Has anybody else ordered from them and had problems?

Looking at their site payment can be made via Paypal.
  • Great!

So is this site a fake?

I spent around £50 on Thursday, I paid via Paypal. But I have had no reply via email and the goods still havent arrived like the site stated!?

Should I make a claim via Paypal?

Was the Paypal payment you sent claimed and was this Thursday 24th June you ordered?

If so I would give it a few more days, what was the delivery date and how was it supposed to be delivered?

I think you can start a Paypal dispute after 10 days or has that changed now?

If you are concerned give Paypal a ring and voice your concerns and see what they say.

This one is ringing alarm bells to me. The hosting for the site has exceeded its bandwidth:

    Bandwidth Limit Exceeded

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

Would someone PM me the PO Box details and I'll check it out.
