Problems with an accident

I accidently reversed into an old camper van a week ago, it was my fault completely. gave him my information with al insurance stuff etc and he gave me his phone number etc. he contacted my insurance before i did, as i was away at the time, and they contacted me. i was not able to deal with it at that time and told them that i would phone them when i got home later that day. i did that and the insurance company seemed to not know anything anyhow i went through my insurance stuff with them and i was told my insurance didnt have any no claims protection and because the damage on my car wasnt interfering with anything, they wouldnt fix my car either (the insurance came with the car through mobility). i told them that i would see if i can settle with the other person without going through insurance, and they said ok. i phoned the other person and asked if he was happy for this and he said yes and he was getting a quote the following day, and he would phone me the following day with the quote. but during the conversation he mentioned damage that wasnt done with the accident and i questioned this, anyhow he said he would ring me tomorrow. this was last friday and i havent heard from him and he is not answering my calls.

i dont know what to do, i think he is trying to go through my insurance to get things fixed that i didnt do. if it goes through my insurance i will still have to pay for my own damage and i will also lose my full no claims.

im not sure what i can do if the other person wont return my calls, if i can get any help i would appreciate it.

thanks

You will be able to repay your insurer for the cost of the claim, and thereby get your NCB reinstated.
