Can you get any cash benefits for working 23 hours a week?

I am currently job hunting and have seen a job I would really like to apply for but the problem is it is only 23 hours a week. Obviously this is better than JSA but I would like to know if there are any benefits I can claim to get a bit extra. You have to be working over 30 hours to claim WTC don't you? I am not interested in info about hb or council tax benefit though they are not relevant to me.
thanks
                thanks

Do you have a partner and/or any dependent children?
And how old are you? I ask because you have to be over 25 to claim wtc unless you have children or a disability.0 -
            Thanks for the reply
On my own, no children or partner and yes I am over 25 though I though WTC had to be 30 hrs min."It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice." :T0 -

There are various ways you can increase your hours...
A selling type job such as Betterware, or mystery shopping...
Or, could you maybe get a few hours cleaning, or in a small shop, as they sometimes want people just for a few hours one day a week.
Or, do you have any skills that you can use to your advantage - teaching/repairing?
Have a look at the Improve Your Income board for some good ideas.0
