Hi,
I hope someone can help me. My mum is 60 and going to France for 10 days later this month. I would like to buy her travel insurance. She suffered with some back problems a couple of months ago that left her with really bad pain in her left leg for about a month. Luckily she is now 100% fine but this problem could recur. Am I able to get any insurance that would cover this problem if it occurs whilst she is away? Also, would people recommend any particular insurance/insurer for her, whether or not it would cover her back problem?
Thanks in advance,
Vijay

Try Flexicover. They were excellent, covering people up to 80, with medical problems, which of course, have to be declared.
This year we have taken a HSBC Plus account, which covered OH's conditions and the cost worked out the same as Flexicover's quote.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

LINKING TO ARTICLES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this: There’s an article on the main site you might like to read that gives more information on this subject.
here
There is also a link to a discussion thread in it, but I'm sure somewhere there is a much longer discussion thread. If I could think where, I would give you a link to it.
But in short, it should be possible, although you will almost certainly have to make some phone calls rather than just going online. Did your mum get a definite diagnosis of the problem or just a 'one of the those things' response?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Thanks. The problem was just mainly wear and tear in some of her disc space in her back causing her leg to have pain. The pain has now gone but could come back at some point...0 -
