Running out of petrol-what next with autoaid please?

the engine shut down so, after a long saga, I towed hubby home.
Am going to join AutoAid on Monday (I honestly thought I had breakdown but it expired) but the car is in eco-mode and won't start, so what do we need to do?
1) Will autoaid be able to fix it outside our house?
2) Will autoaid tow us to a garage to fix (CAn it be any garage or does it have to be a dealership?)
3) Does autoaid cover stupidity or should we tow it to the garage ourselves and save ourselves the cost?
Thanks...from a very red faced byl.

AutoAid is just like any other breakdown service other than the fact that you have to 'pay and claim' - you ring their number and they will arrange someone to come out within an hour to fix the problem, including outside your house. If they cannot fix it, they will recover it to a local garage or any other destination in the UK.
There is a maximum amount of £45 for each claim if the problem occurs outside your house or within one mile, otherwise there are no limits on the number of claims each year or the maximum amount you can claim under any other circumstances.
My car had a flat battery last Saturday, called them and they sent somebody out in about 1 hour and 20 minutes, got it fixed, paid the driver by credit card, sent off the claim form with the receipt on Sunday and got the cheque from them this Thursday.0 -
...and like any other breakdown service you can't claim for a problem that exists before you join. AutoAid is well regarded here so should be treated with honesty and respect.
What sort of car is it? There must be a documented procedure somewhere for getting it going. Can I help?0 -
My car will self-prime the fuel after about 30 seconds and start; it then has a warning light on for the rest of the day.
Some can be re-primed with a push-button on top of the fuel filter. Press and release a few times until more resistance is felt.0 -
All sorted. Car's still under warrenty, so they came and towed it away and are fixing tomorrow.
Auto Aid joined today too for future problems which shouldn't occur.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
