oasis mail order

I ordered form Oasis online and could return the unwanted items via the Oasis store or mail.
I returned the unwanted items to the store and the sales assistant signed and dated my returns invoice.
I'm now in the position that I've not had a refund to my credit card.,after three weeks.
I have both rang and e-mailed and explained the situation and have been told that until my parcel arrives at the warehouse that I cannot have a refund.
I am at a loss as to what to do next, surely since the store took my parcel and signed the returns note that was proof that I had returned the parcel.
Any advice as to what I should do now.
I can't be held responsible for what happened after I signed the goods over can I.
They won't budge.

The sales assistant signed your returns invoice, so does that not mean that the point of return is the store? I assume that they would not allow the store to credit your CC via their till? Did they run the returns through their till?

The sales assistant said she'd send it back to the warehouse for refund, she said that head office discouraged through the till refunds and that my card would be credited within the week.
As I've already said the warehouse say they have'nt received the goods back and won't refund till they do.
I've argued that the shop was my point of return but they're not having it.
