I would like to add one more question with regards setting up another account

If I set up another account for private sales, will I have to build up my feedback again or can I create a link on the new account to my business account, so that potential buyers can see that I have 100% feedback.

Will my feedback follow me from my first account
No, all feedback ratings are set at 0 on new accounts. You could I guess put a link on the item or your me page but I wouldn't. The reason being that some buyers and sellers are simply vindictive and the more seperate each account is the easier it is to stop a chain of retaliation (this is also a good reason for never buying and selling on the same account)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Use your existing account, presumably with a good feedback history, for sales and use a new account for purchases only to start with until you build up some feedback.

You can't be negged as a buyer, so earning positive feedback won't take long. Once you have some feedback on the new account(s) then you can decide how best to use each. Most buyers don't check how feedback was earned, just that you got some positive feedback. (and most sellers don't care who buys as long as they pay and don't cause any other problems)

This is the only applicable rule I can find:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=3149131

That does seem to imply you can only have one account for selling (rather than buying & selling). I don't see why you can't have a different account for buying.

As I thought amazon dropped their auction formats some time ago, that part is not applicable.

Edit: or was it only valid for when amazon did have auctions, and they wanted to prevent people shill bidding from an alternative account?

Thank you for that, I couldn't find it anywhere!
